Cumming GA-- the Gateway to the North Georgia Mountains and Lake Lanier.

Cumming, Georgia is the county seat of Forsyth County. Originally, the territory was at one time a disputed piece of hunting ground between the Cherokee and Creek Native Americans. The dispute was settled and the Cherokee Nation won, and they lived peacefully there with the local settlers until gold was discovered in Georgia in 1828, which changed everything--  particularly just North in cities like Dahlonega.  Cumming GA was officially incorporated in 1833.

There is so very  much to do in and around Cumming, Georgia such as Fowler Park, Sawnee Mountain Preserve, Mary Alice Park and more. Cumming GA is also quite close to Lake Sidney Lanier, which is just down Buford Dam Road which starts in Cumming off of Hwy 9.  Cumming has some incredible neighborhoods, and many have been built in recent years. It's also located strategically on Ga 400 giving outstanding access to the city if you want to visit.  It's a wonderful place to live, work or play.
