In fact, our owner started the company in Lawrenceville and even now the storefront is only a stone's throw from the Buford/Lawrenceville line. With almost 30,000- people Lawrenceville is one of the larger cities in the state, with a sprawling community that covers more area in Gwinnett County than any other single sity. Established in 1821, Lawrenceville's downtown area is near to Georgia Gwinnett College and is just undergoing major renovations as it positions itself for greatness in the days ahead, where it will be a "Live, Work, Play" community. Lawrenceville GA has a lot of fun facts as well-- like Larry Flynt and his lawyer were shot outside of county courthouse, and also, Oliver Hardy's mother, mom to the silent film actor and comedien, owned a hotel in Downtown Lawrenceville, right on the corner opposite the old courthouse. THe building still exists to this day, although at one point in time it was destroyed by fire and the top floors of the building had to be demolished. Today it's served as home to many businesses like Ippolitos and also a candy shop some years ago.
